Baby’s personality is taking shape and underneath all that cuteness is a brain that is rapidly developing!
The months have flown by, and your baby has been growing rapidly. Each baby is different and will develop at their own pace. Check their milestones and see how much they are doing. As you transition to the 6-month mark, you will be preparing to start feeding nutritious solid food – talk to your healthcare provider on how to do this well. Your baby loves spending time with you and learning all about the world around them. Games like peek-a-boo, interesting household objects, tummy time, and reading books are growing your baby’s brain. Find everyday things that you can do to be stimulating your baby’s brain.
Remember, mom and dad, to also take care of yourselves, ask for help from family and friends. Find time to rest and add some joy into your day-to-day activities.
To help your baby grow strong, gradually introduce a variety of healthy complementary foods at 6 months while continuing to breastfeed.
Did you know that you are a brain builder? Babies are born ready to learn. Your baby’s brain is learning and growing right now. And you have what it takes to help them! You don’t need fancy toys or a lot of time to build your baby’s brain. Your baby loves spending time with you and learning all about the world around them.
You can start doing this today – try something fun and playful with your baby. All baby needs to play is, you!
